The Art of Hosting: Al fresco
It’s all about the details... Here i'll be sharing the ins and outs and some behind the scenes of my most recent Art of Hosting series, plus a shopping list at the end :)
I am overjoyed at the response to my recent Art of Hosting series on IG. Drawing inspiration from Pinterest, magazines, social media and the everyday, this series was put together with a focus on the outdoors with the help of my talented friend Jack Munsch. Creating fun and easy trends to elevate your hosting…al fresco.
The series kicked off with butter towers which are all over the internet. One that really stands out is the beautiful cloud of garlic butter creation by Atelier September in Copenhagen. Not only does it look good but it’s a great starter for dipping and we all love an easy but impressive looking recipe that can double up as a centrepiece - I had to try it for myself.
Using my trusty stand mixer (or if you’re feeling brave, you can opt for muscle power with a whisk). I whipped together salted butter and a few drops of buttermilk until thick and towered it onto a decorative plate.
There are so many ways you can do this but i’ve kept it simple for my first go - opting for radishes (heavily influenced by the crudités basket served at the magical Colombe d'Or) which I thinly sliced using a mandoline and soaked in ice water. You can always switch up the colour or dressing with alternative herbs.
